Education and Profession

From February '96 until May '98 I was a PhD-student of Prof.  Schaback at the Institute for Numerical and Applied Mathematics (NAM) in Göttingen, Germany. ( My `official' home page is also available. )
Our team is considered with the problems of multivariate interpolation and approximation, and also with their application to partial differential equations. Since October 1998 I work as a mathematician at T-Sytems International GmbH (former debis Systemhaus Industry GmbH) in Leinfelden-Echterdingen near Stuttgart. There I am involved in the development of mathematical algorithms at the intersection of CAGD and FEM. The team's product is the graphical FEM pre- and postprocessor `MEDINA', which is used eg. at AMG, Audi, BMW, DaimlerChrysler, DASA, Karman, Porsche, Seat, Skoda, VW and many engineering offices on the automobile and avionics market to prepare CAD-models for FEM simulation and to display the results graphically.
By the way: we are looking urgently for new colleagues. So, if you prefer to do some very solid instead of just counting euros with SAP ;-), we are looking forward to your application!
