About me

Education

I am Group leader of the Statistical Inverse Problems in Biophysics Group at the Max Planck Institute for biophysical Chemistry. I am also member of the Felix-Bernstein-Institute for Mathematical Statistics in the Biosciences and associated member of the SFB 755: Nanoscale Photonic Imaging. I am working at the interface between Statistics and Inverse Problems, more specially I am interested in - (Nonlinear) Statistical Inverse Problems and Regularization Theory,
- Uncertainty Quantification via Simultaneous (Minimax) Testing in Inverse Problems and
- applications in biophysics (e.g. flourescence microscopy), especially with non-Gaussian noise.
