Financial support - how to apply
Students from partner universities (interested in) joining the summer school are strongly encouraged to apply for financial support. This can simply be done by sending an e-mail to Dr. Hartje Kriete (summer@math.uni-goettingen.de) with a CV and academic record/transcript attached (preferably as PDF files). Please note: Because of EU rules financial support can be provided only if the student joins the summer school at full length, that is, two weeks. Deadline for applications is 31 May 2009.

Late applications from students of partner universities will be accepted only!
Financial support for students from partner universities
In 2009, the following universities have joined this intensive programme as official partners and satisfy formal requirements installed by the EU: All students enrolled at one of the universities listed above who have applied prior to the deadline (31 May 2009) will receive financial support along the following EU guidelines. These students will be notified via e-mail in the first week on June.
  • Trevel expenses: 75% of travel expenses will be reimbursed.
The reimbursement will be calculated on the base of the prices shown on the tickets. The usual restrictions (e.g. airfare: economy class, only) apply.
  • Accomodation and living expenses: A lump sum will be paid (750 Euro for full duration, i.e. two weeks).
In case of late applications, decision about finanial support will be made on a first comes first serves base. Note that this holds for students from partner universities, only.
Financial support for students from all other universities
A number of students from other universities have applied for financial support. At present, these applications are under review. All the applicants will be informed once a decision has been made.

UPDATE 2009-07-03: A number of students will receive a very limited financial support (350 Euro as lump sum towards local expenses such as accomodation). These students have been informed accordingly. Unfortunately, these days it is quite hard to raise funding and, consequently, no further financial support can be provided. In particular, students who missed the deadline will definitely not receive any financial support.
