Presentation
I am currently postdoc at the Georg-August University of Goettingen (Germany) funded by the CRC 963 "Astrophysical Flow Instabilities and Turbulence"
in the project A1 "solar turbulent convection probed by helioseismology". I am working on inverse problems applied
to helioseismology. This thema allows to see different mathematical aspects from the direct problem to the noise properties
and of course the inversion methods. A better knowledge of these three aspects will allow to have a better understanding of
the Sun properties.
I like to be able to use my mathematical knowledge to deal with a physical problem. I have the opportunity to work with Prof. Dr.
Hohage from the mathematic department and with Prof. Dr. Gizon from the astrophysics department. Thus, we can develop innovative
methods and test them on realistic test cases.
I also had this possibility during my Ph. D. at the CEA Cadarache (University of Aix-Marseille, France). The topic was
"Adaptive mesh refinement methods for the Boltzmann equation". At the spatial level, this equation is an hyperbolic problem
and has been discretized by dicontinuous finite elements. Error estimators have been developped in order to lead the refinement
process and criteria to choose between spatial and polynomial refinement have been studied. These developments have been tested
on analytical test cases but also on realistic benchmarks.
More information about my projects can be found on my summary or in the publications
where the links to the papers are given. The different ways to contact me are given below.
